BTS ARIRANG: 31st Week on Billboard 200 at No. 46
BTS ARIRANG has remained on the Billboard 200 for 31 straight weeks, ranking No. 46 on the chart dated Oct. 31. The chart was announced on Oct. 27 local time.
The album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 in April and held the top spot for three consecutive weeks. It also ranked No. 19 on Top Album Sales, a chart based on album sales. That’s a strong run for BTS, and I’m cheering them on.
The title track “SWIM” ranked No. 28 on the Global 200 and No. 10 on Global Excl. U.S., which reflects music performance outside the United States. “SWIM” has spent 30 weeks in the top 10 on Global Excl. U.S. overall, after reaching No. 1 in its first week. Album track “NORMAL” ranked No. 188 and No. 102 on those charts, respectively.
BTS passed 10 billion streams on Spotify this year as of Oct. 16. BTS ARIRANG surpassed 5 billion total plays on Oct. 14, while “SWIM” passed 1 billion streams on Oct. 24, becoming the first song released this year to reach that mark on Spotify.
The “ARIRANG” world tour wraps its South American leg in Sao Paulo on Oct. 28 and Oct. 30–31. The Asia tour is set to begin in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in November. I’m cheering BTS on as the South American dates wrap in Sao Paulo.
