NewJeans streams: ‘ETA’ passes 500M on Spotify
NewJeans streams hit a milestone: “ETA” had 500,086,236 Spotify plays as of Nov. 2, 2026. It became the group’s seventh song to pass 500 million streams.
One of the triple title tracks on NewJeans’ second EP, “Get Up,” “ETA” blends hip-hop with Jersey club elements and features dynamic performance. I really love that combination of sounds.
NewJeans streams also made their mark on charts at the time of the song’s release. “ETA” and fellow title track “Super Shy” took the top two spots on major South Korean music charts, and “ETA” entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It spent six consecutive weeks on Spotify’s “Weekly Top Songs Global” and three on “Weekly Top Songs USA.” Across all of NewJeans’ songs, Spotify plays exceed 8.2 billion.
On Oct. 29, 2026, ADOR won its damages appeal against Dolphiners Films and director Shin Woo-seok at the Seoul High Court’s Civil Division 5-3. The first-instance ruling awarded ADOR 1 billion won in damages.
Dolphiners Films uploaded an “ETA” music video director’s cut to its YouTube channel in August 2024. Shin said ADOR’s deletion request meant NewJeans-related videos could no longer be shared; ADOR countered that the edit included material disputed with an advertiser and had been posted without the advertiser’s agreement. I’m cheering NewJeans on as “ETA” reaches this milestone.
