NMIXX Strange Muse A Cappella Medley Revealed
The NMIXX Strange Muse a cappella highlight medley was posted on the group’s official social media on the 11th. It features the six members’ voices alone, performing key parts of the upcoming mini album’s title track and two B-side tracks.
NMIXX Strange Muse puts six voices at the center
LILY, Haewon, Sullyoon, BAE, Jiwoo and Kyujin appear in the video in all-black styling. Each contributes to the medley’s vocal arrangement alongside the other members: LILY sings with the six-member lineup, and Haewon joins the same group performance. Sullyoon takes part in the vocal excerpts, as do BAE, Jiwoo and Kyujin. The video presents the members together rather than spotlighting a separate solo performance.
The excerpts are from “긴 소원 (Birthday Wish),” the title track, as well as “Kerosene(케로신)” and “RudE TaLK(루드톡).” The source identifies these as key parts of the three songs, not full performances. With the members’ voices as the only sound source specified, the clip is an a cappella version of the album highlights.
The medley is described as a signature content format presented with each comeback. Earlier trailers and concept photos for the album featured a fountain, a forest and moonlight as settings. Those visuals belong to the previously released promotional material; the medley itself focuses on vocal excerpts from the three tracks. For NMIXX Strange Muse, this clip provides a preview of portions of the title track and two B-sides through the six-member vocal arrangement.
Album and encore dates on the calendar
NMIXX are scheduled to release their sixth mini album, “Strange Muse,” on the 19th. The a cappella medley appeared ahead of that album date, having been posted on the 11th.
The next confirmed event in the supplied schedule is the encore run for NMIXX’s first world tour, “EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER.” The concerts are scheduled for November 27 through 29 at Inspire Arena in Incheon. Those dates follow the album’s scheduled release.
